After a near 3 year wait DALRRD finally published the “Regulations Regarding the Classification, Packing and Marking of certain Raw Processed Meat Products intended for sale in South Africa” on Friday 26th August. This new regulation R 2410 includes the old R 2718 ” Boerewors and Sausage Regulation” and expands the list of products to include the compositional requirements for 13 different product categories.
